DESCRIPTION

Delicately carved standing Yashoda holding a young, flute playing Krishna aloft.

Another child figure stands at the side holding her right hand.

An animal cow or deer completes the group.

All has been carved very finely with great attention paid to jewellery, facial features and folds to clothing.

Terrific carving.

Small losses to rear of Yashoda headress (see images)
